How to Integrate Google Sheets with Your Landing Page Forms

Connect Landopa forms with Google Sheets to collect leads automatically without writing a single line of code.

Every time someone fills out a form on your landing page, that information should reach you immediately — not at the end of the day, and not just when you remember to check the dashboard. Google Sheets integration solves exactly this: as soon as a lead arrives, the sheet is updated automatically and for free.

Before You Start — What Do You Need?

  • A Landopa account (Free plan or higher)
  • A Google account and a pre-created Google Sheet
  • A landing page with at least one Form section in the builder

The Free plan allows Google Sheets integration for up to 100 leads/month. The Starter and Pro plans raise the limit to 1,000 and 5,000 leads/month, respectively.

Step 1: Create a Google Sheet and Grant Permissions

Landopa uses a Service Account to write data to your sheet — no personal OAuth required, and no password sharing. You only need to grant "Editor" permissions to the Service Account email.

  • Create a new Google Sheet or use an existing one.
  • Go to Landopa Dashboard → Settings → Integrations → Google Sheets.
  • Copy the displayed Service Account email (e.g., landopa-xxx@project.iam.gserviceaccount.com).
  • Go back to your Google Sheet → Share → Paste the Service Account email → Select "Editor" role → Send.

Important Note

Do not rename the sheet after connecting — Landopa writes to the sheet based on the exact name you configure. If renamed, new data will not be written, and you will need to update it in the Form Settings.

Step 2: Get the Spreadsheet ID

The Spreadsheet ID is the unique string of characters located in the URL of your Google Sheet. For example, in the following URL:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BxiMVs0XRA5nFMdKvBdBZjgmUUqptlbs74OgVE2upms/edit The Spreadsheet ID is: 1BxiMVs0XRA5nFMdKvBdBZjgmUUqptlbs74OgVE2upms

You can copy the entire URL — Landopa will automatically extract the ID. No need to manually copy just the ID part.

Step 3: Configure in the Form Settings of the Builder

  • Open your landing page in the Builder.
  • Select the Form section on the canvas.
  • On the right sidebar, find and expand the "Form Storage" section.
  • Select the Storage mode: "Google Sheets only" or "Google Sheets + hosted leads".
  • Paste the Spreadsheet URL or ID into the "Spreadsheet ID or URL" field.
  • Enter the name of the sheet tab where you want to write data, defaulting to "Leads".
  • Click "Save form settings".

Want email notifications?

Fill in your email address in the "Notify email" field under Form Storage. Every time a new lead is submitted, the system will send an immediate email notification with the lead details. This is extremely helpful for sales teams to respond quickly.

Step 4: Verify the Integration

After saving, test it immediately instead of waiting until you start running ads:

  • Click Preview in the Builder to view the page in a browser.
  • Fill in dummy information in the form and submit it.
  • Check your Google Sheet — the data should appear within a few seconds.
  • If you don't see it, double-check the Service Account permissions and the sheet tab name.

What format is the data written in?

Landopa automatically creates a header row on the first write, with columns corresponding to the form fields (Full Name, Phone Number, Email...) plus system columns:

  • Submitted At: submission time in UTC timezone.
  • Source: which landing page submitted the lead (based on slug/page name).
  • UTM Source / Medium / Campaign: if the user came from an ad with UTM tracking parameters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the sheet be overwritten?

No. Landopa only appends new rows to the end of the sheet. Existing data is never altered. You are free to add columns, formulas, or custom coloring without affecting the data-writing process.

Can a single sheet receive leads from multiple pages?

Yes. You can point multiple landing pages to the same Spreadsheet but use different sheet tab names. For example, a landing page running Facebook Ads can use a "FB Leads" tab, while a page running Google Ads uses a "GG Leads" tab. This makes it easy to compare performance when everything is in one file.
